After a July lull, the midterm primary calendar is heating back up in August.
Six states will hold their primaries next week, including some of the most consequential races for November. Republicans are hoping to avert potential disaster in ruby-red Missouri, where disgraced former Gov. Eric Greitens could threaten the party’s hold on a precious Senate seat.
On this week’s episode of “Inside the Forecast,” Steve Shepard dives into that contest and others on the ballot next Tuesday. GOP voters are also choosing nominees for two key races in Arizona.
And three of the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach then-President Donald Trump in Jan. 2021 are on the chopping block next week, too, with Trump backing challengers seeking to take them out in their primaries.
Watch this episode of “Inside the Forecast” for everything you need to know about the Aug. 2 primary slate.
