Former president George H.W. Bush was hospitalized in Houston this week, but his chief-of-staff tells the media that he’s doing well and is expected to be released in a few days.
The 92-year-old former president was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital after becoming ill, Jean Becker, his chief of staff, told the Houston Chronicle. Becker did not go into detail.
“He’s fine and he’s doing really well,” Becker said.
The former president and his wife Barbara are not expected to attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration later this week.
Bush has a form of Parkinson’s disease that has limited his mobility. He was also hospitalized last year in Maine after he fell and broke a bone in his neck, according to the AP.
